When good direct sunlight hitting the solar panel, it produces more power than the air pump requires to run, the excess power will be stored in the backup battery. When the solar panel is not receiving the good sun light, the stored power in the battery will be discharged to keep the air pump (oxygenator) running. In this way the solar air pump not only work when sunny days but also work when part cloudy day or even at night.

Air Pump Two Working Modes:
Continual On Mode: the pump will keep running continuously until all battery charges depleted. Next morning, the pump will re-start up automatically when sun comes out again and the battery get charged.
